These three themes regularly overlap in the various roles God has given me in my life and ministry:

• As a forgiven, redeemed child of God.
• As a husband, a dad, a foster dad, a son, a brother, and a Christian friend.
• As a Lutheran church musician, worship planner, and choir director.
• As a thinker, a learner, and a writer.
